Hi I'm Marco Parkinson
Son of James Parkinson, born in CLONARD Co Laois 1922, whose father was also James Parkinson, I'm looking to track the family back to a possible English connection.
I now live in England and I've found that Parkinson is the 3rd most popular surname in the 17th century in Lancashire(Liverpool and Preston) at the time. My father's siblings were Bridget, Sarah, John, Kathleen, Mary plus others. My father's Mother was a Dowling.
It seems that there is always a James and a John in the family. Do you know any more about?
Also do you know any sites that offer info on registers from the 19th Century
