No, I have never visited Ballinakill nor have any familiarity with it. I have a written genealogy done by my cousin Madeleine Robley with help from my cousin John Michael Martin working from a genealogy prepared by Michael Dunne, Sr. who was a neighbor of my great grandfather Michael Burns (born Byrne) and from a family that had close ties with my ancestry.

Michael Dunne's father was John Dunne who married Bridget Fitzpatrick dauther of Patrick Fitzpatrick and Bridget Delaney of Tankerstown, County Laoighis, Ireland. My great grandfather Michael Burns. Bridget Fitzpatrick was a sister of Honora Fitzpatrick who was the sister of my great grandfather Michael Burns.

Bridget Delaney, per the written genealogy, was born in "1750 or 1760" in Tankarstown townland. This is in Ballyadams near Athy, County Kildare. She had 4 brothers, i.e., (1) Michael Delaney born "1750/1760" who had a child Mary who married John Quinn who had children John Quinn who moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. by 1934 and a daughter who married a Maher and remained in Ireland as of 1934, (2) James Delaney who sired a large family living in 1934 in Black Castle, County Carlow with John remaining but Ann living in Jersey City, N.J. as of 1934, (3) John Delaney who was "very successful as a baker - had a propsperous shop in Old Laughlin (is this Old Leighlin - County Carlow?)", and (4) William Delaney who had two children John & William.

William Delaney's children, John & William, both joined the clergy. John "became a Catholic priest, eventually became President of Carlow College, Ireland". William "became a Catholic Jesuit priest, he was a great educator and professor in colleges for 57 years" and died at age 89.

There, that should get something going. I can E-mail or mail you a copy of excerpts from, or the entirety of, this written genealogy if you so wish and provide me with an address.
