Hi, I visited Ballinakill with my sister about 3 yrs back on a family history holiday. We were researching our great grandfather, Jeremiah DELANEY b. Ballinakill abt. 1840.

He married a girl named Maria?, we don't have her surname and they came to Liverpool to live.

I can't find any information about her except that she was born about 1850 Ireland.

Whilst there we met with Father Sean Conlon and later with Christy O'Shea. We also went into Delaney's pub and had a nice long chat with the two Delaney brother's who own/live there.

They gave us the contact details of Tom Delaney and their sister Brigid over here in England but, unfortunately, I moved house, then my computer crashed and I lost all my information - everything.

Having just seen your name on the website I wonder if you are the same Thomas DELANEY that I was in contact with via email. If so, I would just like to apologise for suddenly 'disappearing'. You must have thought it very rude of me!

Also, do you have any information/records of my great grandparents that might help with my research?

Regards, Maureen
