Hi Duane,
My gg.grandfather, Edward Bell, b.1812, was transported to Australia from Queens County (Laois) 1838. I know he left a wife (Alicia,) and two children, a son and a daughter, behind in Ireland. I have reason to believe he may have originated in the Mountmellick area. Perhaps his abandoned family may have migrated to Canada?
I am in contact with two other Bell descendants, one in the Mountmellick area and one in U.S. (who is certainly a genuine descendant.
