I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse. For Luke Power B 1810 in Co. Kilkenny with a father named William, I found 1 B rcd in Glenmore parish. This is likely your ancestor. A view of the B rcd SHOULD list his parents' names. The forename of the mother may be uncertain. For a William Power marriage in 1805 +/- 4 yrs, I found 13 M rcds: 1801 1802 2-1804 & 1806 Kilkenny, 2-1802 2-1803, 1804 2-1809 Cork, & 1809 Tipperary. However, there are NO M rcds for Else Norris in any year. It is likely that the M event wasn't rcd'd, or only the Power side of the M was rcd'd. Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg. Good luck.
