I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. This database has 11,500,000 rcds and covers abt 60% of all Ireland. Surviving rcds for Co. Kilkenny have been transcribed and are in the database. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse. The surname Denn is rare; there are only abt 300 birth & marriage rcds in all Ireland. The name seems concentrated in Co. Kilkenny.

I didn't find a B rcd for Edward Denn in all Ireland for a relevant range of dates.

I found a marriage rcd for an Edward Denn in the parish of Kilmacow in 1844. There is also a M rcd for a Mary O'Neil in the same parish in the same year. This may be pure coincidence as the name Mary O'Neil (+variants) occurs 5,000 times in the all Ireland database. A view of either one's detailed rcd will reveal whether the marriage was to each other.

There are two B rcds for William Lacey in Co. Kilkenny: 1 in 1834 in Thomastown, the other in 1841 in Castlecomer.

There are B rcds for a Nicholas in 45, and a Mary in 47 & 52, all in Slieverue Parish. There is a Patrick B rcd in 1849 in the parish of Templeorum. However, there is no B rcd for Elizabeth in all of Ireland 1845-1862.

For the 1840-1860 era, there were chaotic migrations of people due to the famine. It may be that your ancestors moved often. Hence, I can't find strong evidence to show whether these children are the offspring of Edward and Mary. Again, only a view of the detailed rcds will show who the parents were.

Google the Foundation's name. This will lead you to the database.
