They probably are, but may not be aware of it. Virtually everyone in Ireland has ancestors who emigrated to America. A few ideas:
1) Visit Ireland and Kildare - if nothing else for the scenery. While there, attend the church(es) where your ancestors likely worshipped.
2) Place ads in the local newspapers for this area.
3) Commission the services of a genealogist.
