so far for Simon I have all his census, his marriage record, his naturalization, his probate and his death record. Only mention of birthplace besides "Ireland" is on his naturalization which says "County Kerry". It's been a tough family to track down. Have not been able to find them in the local cemetery where they lived which sometimes can be helpful. Some of those old stones give an entire biography.
