Just got the naturalization record for Michael Sullivan 1848, Massachusetts. Trying to make out the County Kerry birthplace given on the form is difficult. The handwriting is bad and it looks something like Berrybog, Barrybog, Burrybog, Bonnybog. I can't seem to find anyplace like that on a Kerry Map. I know how difficult it was for record keepers to understand foreign accents and spell a town when the immigrant was illiterate. Anyone have any idea what the correct town name was?
additional info: Michael Sullivan says he was born 15 Mar 1816. He was married to Ellen/Ann Donohue (possibly they are the couple shown married at Glenflesk, Kerry in the late 1830s). A Simon Donohue (probably Michael's brother in law) was born c1821 also in Co Kerry and went to live with Michael in the USA about 1850. Michael's wife died and his second marriage gives his parents names as John & Honora Sullivan.
