Killarney, Kerry Co., - poem and Kellys
Hi,
I have since lost most of this poem, but am wondering if anyone has heard of this poem written about Killarney. All I have now is this last stanza(?):
Wings of angels so might shine,
Glancing back soft light divine.
Beauty's home, Killarney,
Ever fair, Killarney.
I loved to read this poem as a child. So, if anyone knows of this poem and could share the rest of it with me, I'd greatly appreciate it. :)
Also, since I have had this poem, (given to me by my grandmother), I'm wondering if this is the region in Ireland that my Kelly ancestors are from?Were/are there many Kellys from Killarney? My earliest known Kelly ancestor I have so far is William Kelly. He served in the Civil War, and married my gg grandmother, Lillie E. Emmons, on 15 Feb. 1882 in Fillmore Co., MN.He was living in Iowa at the time of his death in 1890-1891.
Any and all help given is greatly appreciated.Thank you!!
Susan
