Looking for info on Robert Johnston who died Jan 8 1768 in Pettigo. He lived at Rosefield,County Donegal,Clogher diocese,Templecarne Parish. In his will he left everything to Mary his daughter a minor. She received her inheritance in 1777. At about that time or a little earlier she married Thomas Montgomery.Ihave James a son born May 15 1800.There were also Robert,married to Annice Sproule,William,Thomas,Johnston,John,Frederick,and maybe Ann. Don't have any names for more girls but there must be some. Any information on the birth of these children and Robert's wife would be greatly appreciated.They all left Newry on an American vessel destined for New York City but were captured off the coast of Newfoundland by a British man of War and taken prisonner. They were let go on to Quebec City where they stayed until the end of the war. They eventually made their wary to Bennington New York
