Hi Sue,
Just to say, there's no evidence so far in my family tree of your ancestor but Joseph is a family name and I'm only getting to that period of the 19th century in my research. If I come across anything, I'll let you know. Please let me know if you have the names of any brothers or sisters/parents. It's very hard to trace siblings without a census record.
