Mary DUFFY born abt 1792 d/o Patrick DUFFY & Ann MAXWELL

I have just received the 1865 Glasgow Lanark Scotland Poor House application for my 4X Great grandmother, Mary DUFFY born abt 1792 which states she was born in Dublin and that her parents were Patrick DUFFY, an engineer and Ann MAXWELL, both deceased.

Mary DUFFY married William TOUCHBURN / TICHBORN[E] about 1820 or so and they had at least the 2 children she mentions on her application:

William born abt 1828 in Manchester, Lancashire, England who was in Abbey, Renfrew, Scotland as of 1841 working as an apprentice shoemaker. In 1852 he married Mary HAMILTON and they had 12 children although a few died in infancy and he was my 3X Gr grandfather.

Mary states that daughter Esther was born abt 1832 in Ireland and as of Aug 1865 was married to a shoemaker and had 1 child. Her married surname looks as though it read THOMSON but it's hard to be certain.

As far as I know, William TOUCHBURN [variouis variations] was born abt 1775 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh so I have no idea at this point where they married and I don't even know how close Dublin is to Enniskillen ... I guess I'm showing my ignorance!

William died Aug 19 1836 in Enniskillen so it is possible that daughter Esther was born in the same area and that mother and daughter didn't return to Scotland until some time before the 1861 Census for Scotland since I can't find them there for either the 1841 or 1851 ~ no matter how I try to spell their unusual surname :-(

Any help or direction would be most appreciated.
