Ginny,
I have just returned from our trip to Rostrevor. We found the Sloan farm in Moygannon Road that my grandmother family used to farm.We also found the Kilkeel memorial that commemorated the sinking of Connemara and Retriever in 1916 that killed my great grandfather and great aunt.
We found the Sloan pub that is now run by the nephew of the previous Sloans whose name is Gerry O'Hare. It is now called The Old Killowen in Bridge Street Rostrevor. We did have a pint in there on Sunday night but we did not find any other info.
We did take a photo and can send you a scan if you can receive jpegs from this system, or let me know your e-mail address.
Certainly a good trip.
Dan
