On my grandmother's baptism record in 1886 her sponsor's were Franicis and Mary Boyle. Looking at the 1901 Irish census for Stranorlar, this couple lived next to my gr grandparent's at Creggan in the Parish of Stranorlar. There were quite a few Boyles in Stranorlar at that time. Some of these Boyles could be related to your Boyles. The different areas where they are living are all very close to each other. There are two catholic churches in Stranorlar that you could contact for information. St Mary's in Stranorlar and St Patrick's in Drumkeen, I have found both of these very helpful. There are also two catholic cemeteries in Stranorlar, one being older than the other.

If they were Northern Ireland catholics you could also try looking around the Derry area which is just over the border from Muff. The main catholic church in Derry is St Eugene's cathedral, records are also kept at Long Tower and Waterside.

Good Luck
