Just saw your message.
Samuel Stephenson ( name was spelt Stinson when he married ) was born 28 Dec 1842 at Ryelands and baptised
5th Feb / March 1843 to Hugh Stephenson and Mary ( Kerr ?)
Hugh was a labourer.
Samuel married 5th Oct 1858 when he was just 17 yrs of age
at Ray 2nd Presbyterian Church, Manorcunningham Co.Donegal
to Mary Jane Welsh who was over 21 of Minimore ( Moneymore)
Parish of Ray Co.Donegal. She was the daughter of William Welsh. Wit to the marriage were William Armour and John Brooks.
I have records of 4 daughters born to them Isabella born 4 May 1865; Mary born 18 July 1867; Sarah born 11 March 1871
and Ellen born 6 Oct 1874.
I found from other listings that Catherine Ann was born 1867, but from my indexes this is probably 1873 ;
Also from other listings Mary Minnie 21. 5. 1869, I cannot substantiate the last two children as being children to
Samuel and Mary Jane Stevenson. I believe that I also have records of a brother and sister of Samuel. I am particularly interested in the Stevenson/ Stephenson Family as I am also related to the Stephenson Family of Raphoe / Michigan and Wisc.
