Carmodys born elsewhere in Clare

Hello, in regards to the children of Mary Burke, Thomas O'Donnell and James Carmody, I wonder if they could have been born not in Kilrush, Clare, but elsewhere in Clare. One possibility is Kilkishen where Thomas Carmody, a famous horse trainer of the 1880s and 1890s was from. My ultimate goal is to find out whether my Carmodys are any relation to Thomas Carmody. Just a thought and worth a try. Thanks.
