In the genealogy records I have, there is a Bridget Sexton. the first daughter, 4th child of Michael Sexton m. Catherine Cane. After Bridget, another daughter, Mary, was born. It would seem, though that she would be a generation before your Bridget, because her oldest brother (Thomas-my great-grandfather) was born in 1815. He had a brother, John (b. 1821), who had a daughter Bridget, but I don't have any data about her. except that she was born in Watertown, MN. It would be more likely that this is your Bridget. As far as her being born in Ireland, maybe there is a mistake in my records; I have their deaths listed in Watertown. My grandmother, Ellen, was born in 1866 in the US; she was the youngest of 13 children and the only one born in the U.S.

Good luck. All of genealogy is very confusing
