My gr gr grandfather, Patrick Carmody, was born in Ireland--location not documented. He married on Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1825. I have assumed that he was born sometime between 1798 and 1804, but I also have no proof. He was listed on the 1841 PEI census and his name was listed as the father on my gr grandfather's baptismal record in 1827. I am posting this to the Co Clare site because the earliest Carmodys were from this area, I believe. Don't know when he arrived in Canada. Thanks for any assistance.
