Jessica, I just happened across your message. Since you know that Michael was born in Corofin, you might have good fortune by contacting the Clare History Centre in Corofin and commissioning a search. Unfortunately, they do not allow you to search their files, and they have gathered most of the records in County Clare.

A good source is the Clare Library at http://www.clarelibrary.ie/ and you can search their records for free.

I am looking for ancestors of my great grandfather, Patrick McNamara, born 1839 in County Clare. Unfortunately, I do not know where in Clare. I have commissioned a search (in October 2007) for him and other relations (Moylan, Kelleher) and am still waiting for their report.

Regards

Pat McNamara
