Hello Kathleen

My information is fairly limited.

I have John GRADY born c1800-1810 in Co.Clare married Bridget FROLLY/FRALEY/FRAWLEY about 1825-1830.
Their daughter MaryAnn O'GRADY emigrated to Australia. I cannot find a shipping records for her, I have checked out a few possibilities but have not found anything definite.I would think that she came in the early 1850's.
Mary Ann O'Grady married James RUSSELL in Victoria, Australia in 1854. James Russell was from Dublin.
They are my g.g.grandparents.

I feel that the Grady family may have been from Kilrush . On a cerificate it is written as "Callash" or "Callack" but it looks like there is another word after that, then Co.Clare.

My other guess is that it could be "Callaghans Mills". But at this stage it is all guess work.

One day it may all fall in to place !!!

Best Wishes

Ernene Smedley in Australia
