I have now been advised , as follows :
" State Records NSW film 2483 Wallasea , 1865
Assisted Immigrants to NSW ( also on film 2140 with less information )
#112 Reilly , Mary , aged 19 ,laundress , from Ballyconnell ,County Cavan ; parents John and Rose Reilly of Ballyconnell , Co. Cavan , Ireland . R.C. , read and write , to sister Margret , Grafton , good health , no complaints."
I gather from the above that Mary Reilly's sister , Margaret Reilly , had preceded her younger sister to Grafton , New South Wales , Australia.
As for elder sister , Margaret , she married a Patrick Manning who was also from Ireland (born at Moycarky , County Tipperary , 1834 )
The couple married at Grafton , in 1866.
In a book titled 'Manning Family History', the following entries appear to record mis-information :-
Margaret Riley , born 1844 , Grafton , N.S.W.
Father : Thomas Riley
Mother : Margaret , maiden name unknown
The following entry is accurate , I believe :-
Spouse : Patrick Manning ( born 1834 )
