Tuite in County Cavan

Have previous posted some info under subject line "Carolan, Farrelly, Cuite, Bennett" but have discovered Cuite name was originally Tuite. Additional info is below:

My father was John Francis Cuite, born Hamilton, Scotland, in 1903 (birth record reads Cuat), and immigrated with his parents to NYC in 1906 (immigration record reads Cute). His father, while the marriage record reads Cuat and the immigration record reads Cute, went by Cuite in the U.S. However, his birth record reads Tuite. He was born to John P. Cuite and Katherine Bennett in 1869 in Derrylahan, Crosserlough Parish, County Cavan. While a marriage record for John and Catherine has not been found, it would seem he was originally from Castlerahan Parish, County Cavan. Other children of John Tuite and Catherine Bennett include Patrick (1861), Mary (1862), Hugh (1867-may have died young),Cornelius (1871), Hugh (1871), Rose or Rose Anne (1872), and Thomas Francis (1875). It appears that Patrick, Mary, and Thomas might have immigrated to the U.S. in 1893 (Ellis Island records show Cute) but I have not been able to locate them after the immigration. Also, based on family stories, Rose may have also immgrated to NYC but date is uncertain; she may have married a McNeil or Mallett.
