Looking for living relatives in County Cavan, Ireland, and some family history
My grandmother was Bridget Leddy. She had two sisters, Margaret (Maggie) who never married and Ellen (Nellie) who became a nun after she moved to America. The 3 sisters moved to America. They had a brother, Dennis, who moved to America, he had a family and died in New York. I believe her brother Patrick had emigrated to New York but later returned to Ireland where he married and raised a family. I think there was another brother, William (?), maybe another.
her parents were Patrick Leddy and Bridget Kiernan.
Bridget married Nils Stenholm and they had 3 daughters, Beatrice Dagny, Patricia Lorraine, and Jacqueline.
Bridget brought 4 grandchildren home to Ireland in 1959. (Debbie, Patti, Bill and Karen). We stayed with her brother's widow, Mary, and her son, Patrick and her daughter Nellie. They lived on a farm. The house Grandma had been born in was then their barn, and a new house had been built for the family.
I met many second cousins when I was there in Ireland. Since I was just a child then, I am trying to find out more about my Grandmother's family history. Anyone have information about this family?
