I search the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse.
For John Nowlan M ???? in all Ireland, I found 151 M rcds.
For Elizabeth Blanch (exact) ditto, I found 3 M rcds: 1807 Limerick, 1838 Dublin, & 1848 Kilkenny.
Rcds for Co Carlow haven't been digitized yet. Suggest you wait until they are.
