Looking for information on Glynch families in Co. Carlow mid-1800's. I have a Laurence Glynch bca 1841 married to Catherine Tobin bca 1841 with the following children:
- John B. b. 8-21-1864 St. Mullins
- Mary b. 4-24-1866 St. Mullins
- Johanna b. 6-16-1872 Carlow (sponsors were John Neill
and Margaret Rourke)
- Catherine who married Terence Dalton on 11-26-1890 (witnesses were Pat Doyle and Mary Glynch) They had a son, Michael bca 1892.
Also have an Alice Glinch who was sponsor at a christening in Marley in 1849.
Also have a Margaret Clynch (of Hacketstown) who married a
James Brien and had two children both born Coolkenna - Mary Catherine, b. 2-17-1864 and John b. 7-24-1865.
Also have a Johanna Glin(ch)(bca 1842) who married John Bryan (bca 1824)(brother to James above???). I find them on the 1881 census for Gelligaer, Glamorgan, Wales with children Timothy g. IRL, Ellen (b. 3-23-1865 Borris), Mary b. IRL, Catherine b. IRL, Dennis b. IRL, Margaret b. Wales, Hannah b. Wales and John b. Wales
