Terence Quinn / Mary Burn of County Carlow
Terence Quinn and Mary Burn were Roman Catholics. I believe
that they had five sons (Peter. Michael, Thomas, Terence, John) who would have been born approximately around the 1800-1815 timeframe in County Carlow. All these sons eventually ended up in the Saint-Anicet area of Quebec, Canada. Their estimated time of arrival in Quebec began as early as 1832 in the land records that I was able to locate.
My great-grandfather, Peter Quinn, (son of Terence Quinn and
Mary Burn) was born in County Carlow around 1810-1811. He was married in Quebec in 1846. On his marriage certificate it stated that both of his parents, Terence Quinn and Mary Burn, were deceased by the time of his marriage in 1846.
Can anyone please suggest any advice for me about how I
could proceed to find out where in County Carlow these
Quinns were from? Thanks so much.
