I am researching the Irish history of my GG-Grandparents and G-Grandmother and would appreciate any information about these folks: + Susan MULDOON - b. c1830 in Belfast?, Ireland married in Ireland Michael SLONE/SLOANE - b. c1830 most probably in County Durham, England. They married c1840-1850. My G-Grandmother is their daughter: Sarah Elizabeth SLONE/ SLOANE - b. 14 August 1855 in Belfast, Ireland according to documentation I have come across. Family records state she was christened at Manchester Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, England on 5 May 1861 but I have no documentaion proving that. I also cannot document when they left Ireland not if she and her parents ever returned to Ireland. Sarah SLONE/SLOANE married Francis McCLARENCE 6 October 1873 in Willington, County Durham, England. By that time, Sarah was a Roman Catholic. She bore their first 3 children (including my Grandmother) in County Durham. The 1881 Brandon and Byshottles Census of that County shows the family living in Browney Colliery. Listed as living with Sarah and Francis in that 1881 Census are 3 people with Irish roots - at least 2 of them related: + Michael ROBINSON - Lodger - 21 years - b. c1860 in Ireland; + "Elizh. SHANE" - Wife's sister in law - 36 years - b. c1845 in ?Belfast?, Ireland - Occupation: Flax Spinner; + "James SHANE" - Wife's brother in law - 47 years - b. c1834 in Belfast?, Ireland - Occupation: Flax Dresser. If anyone has come across these names, I would very much appreciate any information about the above individuals. Also would appreciate suggestions for going forward with researching their Irish roots as I am just beginning my Irish research. Thank you, Diane Notify Administrator about this message?
