Trying to track this one down. He was a ggg grandfather of mine. I found his Naturalization record from October 18, 1836. It states, to the best of his memory, that he was born in County Armagh about 1780. States he sailed from Belfast to Baltimore Maryland in June of 1817 qnd from Baltimore to Fanklin county Indianna in October 1819. This leaves a lot of questions.

1) Are there records in Armagh that I can search? I know on another line of mine in Scotland they have what they call the Old Parrish Records. These are for births and marriages from the 1500's to the 18something when it became law for all births and marriages to be recorded. Is there any equivilent?

2) I have been unable to find his record of immigration, his actual passanger list anywhere. Is there a sailing record kept trhat would have his information on it? If so, how would I access it?
