The Mitchells were Presbyterian, so unless Alexander Mitchell was baptized at a nearby Presbyterian church with extant records from the early 19th century, it is unlikely there is an available record. Most such early records aren't in the IFHF database, in any case. The Tullyallen Presbyterian Church (in nearby Loughgilly parish) does have records from around 1795 on, but the early Tullyallen records aren't in the database. I'll have to go to Ireland to check them, or be in touch with someone who has had access to them. ... Alexander and Jane Mitchell's son, Alexander (b. July 1842 or 1843), was married to Margaret Kilpatrick at Tullyallen Presbyterian in 1867, by the way. That record can be consulted in the IFHF database (for a fee).
