It seems like I answered another post by you. Therefore, this msg may be redundant.

I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840. Rare B4 1800.

For James Reid B 1851 +/- 1 yr, I found 0 B rcds.

For Elizabeth Smith B 1851 +/- 2 yr with a father named Thomas, I found 6 B rcds: 1851 Antrim, 1852 Louth, 1853 Tipperary, and 1855 (Cavan, Cork and Kildare).

For Alexander Reid B 1833 +/- 1 yr, I found 2 B rcds in Co. Down.

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Pls post your search results to this genforum msg.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
