Nugents, Hughes, Hanlons, Devlins, Parish Forkhill
Posted by: Dennis Nugent (ID *****0524) Date: April 24, 2004 at 09:51:04

Searching for info on Thomas Nugent (b.1796, Carrickaldreen townland, Forkhill Parish; married to Mary Judith Hanlon) family. Son Francis (b,1821) emigrated to US abt 1842. Believe Mary's relative William Hanlon also emigrated around that time to St.Louis. Another son Patrick (b.abt 1840), believed to have married Anne Devlin and had son Thomas (b.abt.1870; married to Ellen Hughes)who had 2 sons Joe (aka Patrick, b.1910) and Thomas (b.1908) that emigrated to N.Y.in the 1930's.
Any info gratefully welcomed, as last Irish Forkhill Nugents appear to have passed away on farm along Longfield Road in 1940's. Any corroboration would help. Thanks kindly.
