Trainor - Gribben Families Ballymena, County Antrim
Posted by: Sean Traynor (ID *****4172) Date: July 27, 2012 at 16:49:14
  of 2306

Recently found documents reveal the name Gribben as the maiden name of Mary Jane Trainor/Traynor of Ballymena and later of Kilrea and Ballymoney, wife of William John Trainor. According to 1911 census at 42 Coleraine Street, Kilrea, had six children born alive, two survivng. Known to be John Trainor that married a Mary Hunter circa 1925 in Ballymoney, and Sarah Jane who married James McConville in Kilrea in 1907.
Mary Jane is known to have died in 1926 and is interred in Ballymoney Chapel Graveyard along with James McConville and Sarah Jane. Born in 1887 Sarah Jane's birth cert states Waker/Water Street, Ballymena and informant is Grandmother Ann Jane Gribben. Would like to know more about this family and known association to Ballymena families Farrell, Baxter and Norton (Ballycastle)
