Re: Rowell (possibly Ruel?)

In Reply to: Rowell family 1800's in Persia by Audrey Kanavel of 629

I recently found a family named Ruel that emigrated the year that the Rowell's did. Everything appears to fit with the Rowell's and I am wondering if it is possible this is the same family. The emigration record shows a Polis Ruel, Samuel Ruel, Rachel Ruel and a Joseph Ruel all on the same ship, all from Urmia, Persia and came to the US in 1913. The ages for Polis (possibly Paul?) and Samuel also match.

Any thoughts on this?

Also, any information on Urmia, Persia would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Audrey
