Looking for information on John Pera

DOes any one have any information of John Pera, who came from Persia and lived in Indiana and near Chicago? He came here in 1906--we cannot find a record of this. Went back to Persia in 1912, and returned in 1913. He also went by the name of John Pera Merza--has a living son by the name of Norman-who said that on this birth certificate it named him as Norman Pera Nerza.
Any help would be appreciated.
