Asalamu'alaikum,
My name is Zameer Awan, 28 year, origin Attock, Pakistan, since 1997 I am in Saudi Arabia.
I am interested to know about our family, I have read all the messages posted to you, and I would to appreciate the efforts made by my Awan's brothers and sisters. After 2 months I am planning to go to Pakistan, my elders told me that in the English office of District Court of Attock they have the Shagara Nasub, I will do my best to take a copy of this very important document and I will share with you, inshallah.
I was told by my grand grand mother (R.A) that we are Malik-Awan's (Qutub Shahi), at the time of British Raj our agriculture land was taken by authorizes slowly slowly due to agriculture tax. So, 1947 at the time of independence my four fathers left only 150 canals agriculture land which is still exists, my grand father mashallah he is 80 year old and still fit to look after the agriculture land. Word "Malik" which we are using, I think because of landlord were using in Pakistan till now, even in Pathan you can find word "Malik" and others Punjabi speaking cast you can find the word "Malik" along with the cast.
I am in the stage of collecting information/data about "Awan" and inshallah I will lounge soon the website "AWAN.COM".
I would like to inform all of you that Awan u can find millions in Pakistan and hundreds and thousands in Europe, USA and Middle East.
Pak Army/Police has a large number of our brave family members. A majority of Awan's in Pakistan still depending on Agriculture Business but u can find now mashallah in all walks of life. From last thirty year education become a priority for Awan's they are sending their kids in the best institution in Pakistan and around the world, Below the age of 55 year I am pleased to inform you, the Awan 100% educated and less than 40 year age 90% are graduates.
We Malik-Awan in District Attock have all the main business, MNA is also from Malik-Awan; he is the son of my Grandfather Cousin.
