Assalaamu alaikum,
jazakallah khair for the reply to my enquiry. As you stated in your text, i have arrived at near enough the exact same position. I have decided however to rely on the default that the Awan's are infact descended from the native indians inorder to not be fooled into false pride by attributing myself to the lineage of the prophet Sallaallahu alaihi wasallam without convincing proof. I hope however that i may come across some positive info in the future.
At the end of the day, my recent travel form the UK to here in Jordan in order to pursue arabic and islamic studies has directed me away from my previous interest however if i come across anything i will inshallah forward it.
The deen is in need of scholarship so may we strive to fulfill this for the pleasure of the One to whom we will soon return
