Jalaly Family name

Can anyone tell me what the name Jalaly means or where it comes from. My late husband was iranian. His family lived in a little village out side of Kashan called Chimeh. It was located below the Carcaus montian. I heard his family had been there for a very long time. I was also told, that his family is very old and goes back in history. I don't know if this is true. Since he died my children have been intested in their heritage. He didn't really know about his family history, and the one family member who did died while we moved to the US. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
