Russ, that does help. I will look for the most recent time stamps of the files with a last file extension of .ftw and go with them. And I will not be deleting anything, I just want to move over the correct files to the new computer before installing FTM 2012.
I'm sure you haven't heard the last of me and I really appreciate all of your time and effort in helping me out! I'm a systems administrator by the way, but I'm afraid of messing this up for my Mom, since I know nothing about the FTM program and how it works. I'm used to just picking up the phone and calling support when I'm in a jam. We always make sure that we are paid up on support for all of our programs at work!
