Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I show Thomas Inscon, age 21, arriving in Virginia, from England, in 1635. This is from Teppler: Passengers to America.
I also show Richard Incon, leaving Newgate, England, destined for Maryland, on the ship, Patapscoe Merchant, captained by Fras Lux. The ship had 97 persons, and Richard was received on May 17, 1736. This is from a book: Emigrants in Bondage, PRO reference No. T53/38 p. 337.8
NOTE:
These records were generally of convicted felons from England, whose passage was paid by the government, as a fee collected by the shipping company.
