My family is from Kentucky.
I'm not sure where they were from before that.
My brother is in the army and was sent to Bosnia as one of the peace-keeping UN troops during the winter of 1999-2001. For awhile when he was there, he worked along side some Polish troops. They found his last name of interest and told him that Insko (spelled the same way) is a common Polish name.

I thought that interesting because my Grandmother (who married an Insko) had once told me it was of Polish origin when I had asked about it.
