Stephen Inskip

My gt. grandmother was Ada Isabel Inskip b1854. On the 1861 Census it reads Maria Inskip b1826-unmarried- b Chislehurst Kent - HEAD. Eleanor Inskip b 1845 unmarried. Julia Inskip b1851 - Bexley Kent and Ada b1854 Bromley. Doing my research a Stephen Inskip b1831 Cheadle married a Maria (Smith) in Bromley in 1848. Julia is the only one I can find any christening for and that said parents Maria and Stephen Inskip. Doing my maths Stephen would only have been 14 if he fathered Eleanor. Can anyone help me unravel this.
