hi,

Trying to research some of the epidemics that swept thru certain towns and wiped out almost entire familes, mostly from Cholera which was imported from arriving immigrants and of course, infetcted water sources.

Isaac and Catherine (Irvine) Inskeep lost two twin daughters in 1871 from cholera. Fannie and Nellie died on the same day. Catherine died in 1873, and possibly from another outbreak of cholera. She was only about 29 years old.

Catherine Irvine Inskeep also had many family members die between 1871 and 1873, peak times listed in Epidemic outbreaks.
Hugh Irvine, 1871 age 25
Melissa Irvine, 1873 age 19
Minnie Irvine, 1872 age 22
Nancy Irvine, 1871 age 47
Wm. James Irvine, 1872 age 10

Also..Job Inseep, married to Sarah Ward in 1724, living in New Jersey. Records show that Job died during a cholera epidemic in 1756, along with his daughters Mary and Sarah, sons William and Joseph. Effectively wiping out half the family.

Isaac and Catherine Inskeep were from Logan Co, Zane twnship/Middleburgh OH.. if anyone has any information relating to families in the same area affected by cholera epidemics or early deaths in the listed years..i would really love to compare notes or new information.

thanks, betsie
