My ancestry has two Bird connections.
1) Effie Bird(daughter of Elisha Bird and Cathrina Ringo). Effie married ReubenPownall and they had a daughter name Rachel Pownall(b. 1756 d. 1832 Pike County, Ohio). Rachel married a John Peters (b. ca 1752 d. 1828 Pike County, Ohio).
2) Mary Bird d. 1780 Lost River, WV ( daughter of Andrew and Magdalene 'JONES' Bird) Mary Bird m. James Peters ca 1749 and James drowned in the Susquehanna River in ca 1752. Posthumously and 3 months later a John Peters was born. It is this Mary Bird who we Speculate that married Stephen Ruddell in 1752.
SPECULATION BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:
(A) Three-Way CAIN Connection to the BIRDS-Siblings
Delilla Cain m. John Williams(John's 1st marriage)
John's 3rd marriage produced a William Williams, who married Mary Lincoln Peters(G Grand-daughter of John and Rachel (POWNALL) Peters.
Sarah Cain m. Andrew Bird Jones - son of Elizabeth Bird(daughter of Andrew and Magdalene 'JONES' Bird) and John Jones
Descendents lived in Pike County, Ohio
Jesse Cain m. Mary Newman had daughter Delillah Cain m. William Ruddell. William Ruddell was Grandson of Archibald Ruddell(Stephen's brother).
(B) WILSON Connection
Jeremiah Inskeep lived and built the brick portion of house adjoining Ft. Ruddell(built 1754 by Stephen Ruddell) in Lost River, WV. Jeremiah's sister was Sarah Inskeep of Romney, WV. She married George William Wilson(Son of Lt. Col. George Wilson and brother of Captain John Wilson). My 4th G Grandfather was Lt. Col. John Guthrie, who served under these two Wilson's in the PA 8th Regiment during the Revolutionary War. John Guthrie and his wife Lydya Baldwin produced a child Lydia Guthrie that married a William D. Peters of Pike County, Ohio,(son of John and Rachel 'POWNALL' Peters. Remember....Anthony and Mary (BIRD) Sadowski's son Andrew Sadowski m. Catherine Inskeep. Mary was Elisha and Andrew's sister.
(C) Rambo Connection
=>You know of Andrew Bird witnessing Swen Rambo's Estate and John Ruddell's will. Mark "A"
=> You may also know Swen had a cousin Peter Rambo. Peter's son Peter m. a Mary Peters(daughter of Peter Peters). Mary's sister, Hannah married a Robert Parker, Sr. They had a Robert, Jr that married a Sarah Cambell. Sarah's brother John Campbell married a Elizabeth Newman. They had a son, Joseph that married an Elizabeth Peters. This, the daughter of John and Rachel 'POWNALL' Peters.

states, Peter Rambo the ancestor, lived at Colebrookdale............(see bottom of page). There was a James Peters who was a part-owner at Colebrookdale Ironworks, PA.
=> One of John and Rachel's descendents married in Zelma, OK had as his best man by name, Will RAMBO.
