WILLIAM TANDY BUSH WAS THE HUSBAND OF SARAH
MATTHEWS OF GLASGOW, KY. THEY WERE MY GG
GRANDPARENTS. THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN ONE
AMERICA, A GIRL AND ONE BOY NAMED ELKANAH
BURRUS BUSH. W.T. AS HE WAS CALLED IN GLASGOW, WAS HEAVY INTO REAL,ESTATE. THE
MAN AMERICA MARRIED WAS WILLIAM TRIGG LOGAN,
AN ATORNEY, VERY FINE ONE, WHO BECAME A
SUPREME COURT JUDGE. FROM WHAT INFORMATION
I HAVE AS PROOF IS A CENSUS REPORT THAT SHOWED FOUR CHILDREN, ALL GIRLS. HOWEVER
IN LATER FINDINGS THERE MUST HAVE BEEN ONE
OR TWO BOYS THAT HAS ALREADY LEFT HOME, SO
WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CENSUS. ABRAHAM
LINCOLN JOINED WITH LOGAN ABOUT 1842 AND
LINCOLN CONTINUED WITH HIM UNTIL RUNNING FOR
OFFICE OF PRESIDENT. THE GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY AT SPRINGFIELD IS ASSEMBLING A BIO
ON WILLIAM TRIGG LOGAN. HOPE THIS HELPS
SOMEWHAT. LOGAN SHOWED HIS WORTH AT OVER
$30,000 IN OR AROUND 1860. HE DIED ABOUT 1900 AND HIS WIFE AMERICA DIED BETWEEN
1870-1876. WILLIAM TANDY AND HIS WIFE MOVED
TO SPRINGFIELD CLOSE TO THE 1832 MARK AND
HE DIED SOME SHORT TIME AFTER THAT. I HAVE
NO WORD AFTER THAT TIME OF SARAH HIS WIFE.
WISH I COULD GET SOME INFO ON THAT. MY
GRANDMOTHER HAD A BOOK THAT ALL THE KIDS AT
SCHOOL WROTE IN AND THERE IS A LITTLE NOTE
FROM A "SARAH BUSH" FROM GLASGOW KY. THIS
COULD HAVE BEEN HER. HAPPY HUNTING.
