Getting the inscriptions right will hopefully be followed by other projects-including locating unmarked graves.

Any ideas on clay pressed in with a hard roller?

How about a remote flash to cast a light across the face of a stone at about 90 degrees from camera? Sounds fancy but I have everthing except the cable (no big deal).
I would expect a great shadow on a dull day-don't want to think about what to expect if done at night!

Never done this so looking for ideas from those who have.
