I have several letters written in Scotland during the 1800s and sent to the emigrant family members in Canada. All are written in a sort of brown ink. One of them is so faded I cannot read it. Does anyone know of a means to bring up the ink? I have tried scanning the letter and playing with the image in various photo programmes but so far nothing has worked.
