Dear Jane;

My name is Carol Ohlman, and I am a distant cousin.
My father was George Inrig, (Barney) of the Inrig Roofing and Sheet Metal Company Ltd, Hamilton (now extinct).
You were wondering about the family crest and why it has been hard to find information on it. This has likely been because we are part of the " Gunn Clan". We are actually considered a "sept" of the Gunn Clan. This information comes from a book called "Kith n Kin"
I was able to have some of this information printed for me when I visited Scotland in 1995.
Judge George Inrig of Picton Ontario (formerly of Lindsay Ontario) has done quite an extensive bit of work to do with the family history. I have only been dabbling in it in the last few years in my spare time.
I hope this has been of some help to you.
