Some few points of importance to note, and also to be clear about are that; the documented history, of The Innes Family, i' e'; James Innes and Margaret Kerr ... whom were the parents of Hugh Innes, and of his two brothers, and of his Three sisters, does state quite clearly that James and Margaret Kerr were married by contract. The date of their "marriage by contract" was some few years later than the published date of Birth; of the Hugh Innes, whom appears in Virginia and is - by all known account - the father of Elizabeth Innes...The Elizabeth Innes whom we are concerned with. So as per the date time and information retained in historical recordation - unless there was an incorrect copying of the date and time or information, which had not been corrected properly subsequently, The only other published and also extant data is with reguard to; Elizabeth Innes [sister to the above named Hugh Innes] whom wed to Captain Innes of Ireland, and that perforce their son was Hugh Innes the father of Elizabeth, etc'.
