Von,

Thanks for a reply. I have seen the information you have spoke of, but I think I am after information concerning another Hugh Innes, if he even existed at all. I have seen postings from The Latter Day Saints material and from other people useing other poeple's posting as references which I don't want no part of. Anyone can say anything and call it good, but I am just looking for solid evidence on my work.
I have seen postings at various places that state Hugh Innes was born around 1645, in Scotland, and went to Virginia with a couple of brothers, (Hugh James, and Robert). The postings also say the ship wrecked and the Innes brothers were the only ones rescued. This Hugh Innes that was shipwrecked, saved, and later was to have a daughter named Elizabeth, it was supposedly this Elizabeth Innes who married a man named William Mitchell. I have seen for a fact there was a William Mitchell in Virginia in 1704, living in/around The Parish of St. Peters and St. Paul, but that doesn't prove he was ever married to an Elizabeth Innes.
Another thing about the whole Innes story nobody ever has said anything about was the name of the ship the brother were supposed to be on.
Another thing that seems to be wrong, which is why I am asking about this whole story in the first place, people say this Hugh Innes was the son of James Innes, born about 1625, and Margaret Kerr, born about 1625. If they did have a Hugh Innes for a son, and this Hugh had a daughter named Elizabeth, who married William Mitchell, I would like to know where it is I can find this documentation? I am seeking solid proof from a solid paper trail. Anyway, thanks for your relpy Von, but it still looks like I am, "lost in the water like Hugh was and looking for someone to rescue me like they did him". Take care.

Sincerely, Roy
